Know About the Recipe and Ingredients

Block Velveeta Cheese: The right cheese for our queso dip is block Velveeta cheese for classic Mexican flavors. If you don’t have Velveeta cheese, use cheddar as an alternative. This type of cheese has a creamy texture, and at the same time, you get sharp cheese flavors.

Diced Tomato and Green Chili: Tomato and chili go well with beef. We are making queso dip – so we need tomatoes and chilies. Otherwise, it will become a cheese dip.

Refried Beans: Refried beans will deliver a grainy texture in our recipe. We want a thick and gravy-like queso dip. Refried beans will help us gain grainy thickness.

Avocado: Certainly, avocado is not a base ingredient for our queso. Avocado has a slightly nutty and buttery taste. Also, it will make the dip refreshing.

Ground Beef: You can skip the beef if you like. Generally, the cheese and avocado are enough to achieve a superb dip. But if you love meaty flavors, use ground beef or pork.

Taco Seasoning: For pure Mexican flavors, we need taco seasoning. Chili powder is also a better substitute for taco seasonings. But for a versatile spicy aroma, you can’t beat taco seasoning.

Onion: Adding diced onions will compliment the ground beef with its sweetness.

Evaporated Milk: There’s a chance that the queso dip will get hard after a few hours. That’s why we will add evaporated milk into the dip ingredients.
