However, using granulated sugar isn’t mandatory. You can apply the white sugar as well as per your preference. Take 2 cups of sugar. 

Salt (1 Tsp)

Vegetable Oil (½ Cup)

You can apply any types of oil. There are no fixed rules. However, using vegetable oil will bring an added flavor. So, we’ll take ½ cup of vegetable oil. You can use regular cooking oil, olive oil, or salad oil as well. 

Vanilla Extract (½ Tsp)

Baking Soda (1 Tsp)

Although you need a little baking soda like 1 tsp only, it’s an essential element. Adding baking soda will help the cake to get a good rise. If you skip adding baking soda, your cake will be flattened. 

Cinnamon (3 Tsp)

We add cinnamon to this cake recipe for two purposes. One is to add a mild flavor and another one is to get a good coloring texture. Cinnamon is an ideal element to bring flavor and color to the cake recipe. So, you’ll require 3 tsp of cinnamon today. 

Eggs (3 Large)

Take 3 large eggs and beat them in a bowl. Keep the bowl aside for later use.

Sliced Apples (4 Cups)

Take 5 medium-sized apples and peel them well. Now slice the apples into thin pieces and keep them aside. 

Chopped Walnuts (1 Cup)

You also need to take walnuts of 1 cup. Take the chopped walnuts. This walnut ingredient can be substituted with peanuts. 

How to Make No-Name Cake?

Take a mixing bowl and mix vanilla, vegetable oil, egg, and sugar. Mix well so that it seems smooth. 


Once you finished making the liquid mixture, add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Keep mixing until smooth. 


Now fold the entire mixture with chopped walnuts and then sliced apples. Your cake batter is ready to bake. 


Grease a baking pan that comes with 13ʺ by 9ʺ size. Now, pour the batter into the pan and bake at 350° F for 1 hour.  


Get the cake out of the oven and let it cook for 20 minutes. Now cut the cake into a square or triangle shape and serve.

  • Adding powdered milk to the batter will increase the taste.
  • You must put the eggs at room temperature if they are kept in the fridge. The cold egg will spoil the taste.
  • You also can apply 1 cup of melted butter into the batter for an added taste.
  • Wrap the cake with foil paper and then put it in airtight container and refrigerate. You can eat the cake for 7 days maximum.
