How to Make Maitake Mushroom Soup?

Go through the following easy steps and make the best cream mushroom soup-

Step-1

Put your skillet on the stove at medium-low heat. Put 2 tbsp of butter and let it melt for 30 seconds. Once the butter is melted, add onion and salt. Let them saute for 2 minutes, and ensure the onion edges are slightly brown.

Step-2

If the onions are brown, add garlic and sliced maitake mushrooms. Keep stirring and fry for 5 minutes at low heat.

Step-3

Add the coriander leaves and saute for 2 minutes.

Step-4

This time, transfer the sauteed mushrooms to a blender and blend them properly. You can toss the mushroom if you don’t like to go for blending. In that case, you must ensure the mushrooms are tossed and mashed well. Keep the bowl aside.

Step-5

Put the skillet again on the stove and give the butter 2 tbsp. Let it melt, and add all-purpose flour. Continue stirring for 2 minutes.

Now add milk and mix with the flour and butter. Don’t add the milk at a time because it won’t make a good mixture. Add milk gradually and keep stirring. It will help to mix them all nicely. Keep stirring for 5 minutes at medium-high heat.

Step-7

Add chili flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper powder, and let them mix well. Keep boiling at low heat for 5 minutes. But continue stirring in that 5  minutes.

If the liquid is thickened, add your mashed mushrooms and mix with the liquid. Keep the heat low, or the mushroom will be burnt. Because mixing the mashed mushrooms with liquid will take a bit of time.

Step-9

Add 1 more cup of milk and mix well. Let them cook for 5 minutes. Check out the salt. If the liquid requires more salt to taste, add more according to your necessity.

Step-10

After 5 minutes of stirring, add heavy cream to the soup and mix. Let it bubble for 5 minutes. Your maitake mushrooms soup is ready. Top it with your favorite toppings and serve.
