But this version of their french onion soup is the most loved one. Though it takes some time to prepare but the outcome is amazing.
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Take a Dutch oven and heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. (Medium Heat)
Step 4: Add the seasoned beef and brown well on both sides.
Step 5: Remove the meat from the pot.
Set aside.
Step 6: Add another tablespoon of olive oil if necessary.
Step 7: In low hit, add the onions, garlic, and bay leaves.

Step 15: Return the beef to the pot and combine by stirring. Bring back up to a simmer and cook for 5 more minutes.
Step 16: Slice the mushroom

Ingredients
- 1 pound beef chuck roast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper
- 3 pound onions about 6 large
- 4 cloves garlic
- 6 cup beef stock
- 8 ounces white button mushrooms
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven
- Season the beef chuck roast
- Heat olive oil
- Add the seasoned beef
- Remove the meat from the pot. Set aside
- add the onions, garlic, and bay leaves in hot olive oil
- Cook onions then add the beef stock
- Cook the beef in the oven until tender
- Take out all the beef from the pot and let it cool
- Discard the bay leaves
- Whisk the remaining olive oil, flour and add salt and pepper. Blend the meat mixture into the whisk
