The star ingredient in Giada De Laurentiis’ Meatball recipe is ground pork. This versatile meat is ideal for making flavorful, succulent, and delectable meatballs. To make the giada’s homemade pork meatballs, it is essential to choose fresh, additive- and preservative-free ground pork of superior quality.

Ricotta Cheese

Ricotta cheese is a key ingredient in Giada De Laurentiis’ Meatball recipe. It has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and smooth texture, making it perfect for adding to meatballs. Ricotta helps keep the meatballs moist and tender while adding richness and depth of flavor.

Milk

Milk alone may not be the star ingredient of Giada De Laurentiis’ Meatball recipe; it plays an essential role in creating the perfect texture and flavor for these delicious meatballs. Milk is often used in meatball recipes to help keep the mixture moist and tender while adding a subtle creaminess to the flavor profile.

When combined with other ingredients such as breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and garlic, milk helps to bind everything together and create a flavorful base for the meatballs.

Egg

The egg is a key ingredient in the Giada De Laurentiis Meatball recipe. Eggs provide a binding agent that helps keep the meatballs together and gives them a lighter texture. They also add moisture to the mixture, preventing the meatballs from becoming dry and tough.

When making meatballs with eggs, it’s essential to ensure that they are thoroughly mixed in with the other ingredients to create a uniform texture.

Salt

Salt is one of the most basic and essential ingredients in cooking, and it’s no different when it comes to Gaida De Laurentiis’ Meatball recipe. Salt not only enhances the flavor of the meatballs but also helps to bind the ingredients together for a more cohesive texture.

Black Pepper

Grated Parmesan

Giada De Laurentiis’ meatball recipe is a delicious and savory combination of ingredients for a perfect Italian meal. One of the key ingredients in her recipe is grated Parmesan cheese.

This flavorful cheese adds a rich, nutty taste to the meatballs. It helps to bind the ingredients together, resulting in a tender and juicy texture. It also adds depth to the dish’s flavor profile, complementing the other ingredients.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs are a vital ingredient in Giada De Laurentiis’ meatball recipe. These small bits of toasted or dried bread help to bind the meatball mixture together, giving it a more cohesive texture.

Breadcrumbs also absorb moisture from the other ingredients, which helps to keep the meatballs moist and tender. In Giada’s recipe, she recommends using plain breadcrumbs, but you can also use seasoned breadcrumbs for added flavor.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is one of the key ingredients in Giada De Laurentiis’ famous meatball recipe. Olive oil is known for its heart-healthy benefits and rich flavor and adds a delicious depth to these meatballs. When making this recipe, choosing a high-quality olive oil that will complement the other flavors in the dish is essential.

Method Of Preparing The Giada De Laurentiis Meatball Recipe

Step-1

Combine the breadcrumbs, milk, egg, ricotta cheese, and Parmesan in a medium mixing basin. Allow the breadcrumbs to absorb the liquid after thoroughly mixing.

Combine the sausage, pork, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix lightly with your hands to blend.

Step-3

Add olive oil to a medium pan over medium heat. Pour in enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.

Place a heaping spoonful of the meat mixture in the hot pan as balls. Working in two batches if necessary, add as many as the pan will allow without overloading.

Step-5

Brown the balls on all sides for 8 -10 minutes, rotating as required. When the balls are evenly browned, transfer them to a platter. Continue with the rest of the meat. Drain the excess oil from the pan when all the meatballs have been browned.
