To make the pear relish, you need to buy pear only as the main ingredient. And all other ingredients are already available in the spice corner of your kitchen cupboard. Let’s check out what these are-

Pear (4)

The staple ingredient is the pear to make the pear relish. You’ll need 2 pairs of peeled pears to make this recipe. So, take 4 pears and cut them into small ground pieces.

Onion (1 Cup)

Take a large size onion and chop it into thin slices. You’ll need 1 cup of sliced onion. 

Bell Pepper Green & Red ( 1 Cup Each)

Green and red bell pepper / capsicum will make the recipe colorful. Also, it’s rich in iron, Vitamin C, and fiber. Consuming this ingredient will prevent constipation and improve iron absorption. 

So, take chopped and shredded green capsicum of 1 cup. Also, take 1 cup of shredded and chopped red capsicum.

NB: You should consume bell pepper in a moderate motion.

Vinegar (1 Cup)

To brighten the flavor of your pear relish recipe, you’ll need 1 cup of vinegar. Like all other kitchen staples of salad dressing or mayonnaise, vinegar can also change the food texture. 

So, you need 1 cup of vinegar to make this recipe. It will make a good balance of all other ingredients. 

Sugar (2 Cups)

We prefer taking 2 cups of sugar for our recipe. If you don’t like sweets, take 1 ½ cups. 

Salt (1Tsp)

Pickling Spice & Turmeric (½ Tsp Each)

How to Make Cha Cha Relish?

Making the pear relish recipe entails only 4 easy steps. Here’s how-

Step-1

Take your food processor and put pear, onion, and capsicum inside. Now blend them. Make this mixture somewhat chunky. So, don’t blend for too long, or else it will mash all the ingredients. 

Step-2

Drain the extra liquid from the blended ingredients. Now put a saucepan on your stove and put vinegar, sugar, salt, pickling spices, and turmeric. Bring them to a boil at low heat for 10 minutes.

Step-3

Don’t apply higher medium heat. Or else the mixture will evaporate. However, when your 10 minutes are over, add the mixture you made in Step 1.  Cook for 15 minutes at low heat. 

Step-4

Bring 3 jars and pour the mixture into them. Pour them while hot. Don’t wait for the liquid mixture to become cold. Now let them sit a room temperature and cool. 

Step-5 

Put them in the fridge for 2 days before serving. Your pear relish is ready.

Ingredients

  • 4 Pear
  • 1 Cup Onion

Instructions
