You’ll have to go through two different steps to make this recipe. Because it requires making MAC and cheese and pulled pork. And these two items together make the  Dinosaur BBQ MAC and cheese recipe. 

Since it requires two different cooking steps, you’ll have to gather your ingredients based on these two items. Here’s what you need to arrange-

Ingredients for Pulled Pork 

The ingredients that you’ll need for pulled pork won’t be needed to cook the MAC & Cheese. Here‘s what you need-

Pork Shoulder Butt Roast (6 Pounds)

To make a good combination, this recipe is made preferably of pork shoulder. For today’s recipe, we’ll require 6 pounds of pork shoulder butt roast.  You can increase or decrease the amount considering your serving size. 

Dinosaur BBQ Muther Sauce (2 Cups)

The next key ingredient is the Dinosaur BBQ  muther sauce. It’s an intensely blended spicy mixture infused with cayenne peppers and habanero. To offer more heat and spiciness, it comes in handy. You’ll need 2 cups of this sauce. 

Sweet Onion (1 Cup)

Take 1 or 2 large-sized sweet onions and chop them into small pieces. Take 1 cup of chopped onion. Sweet onion will make the dish more flavorful. 

Green Pepper (1 Cup)

For the purpose of adding heat, take 1 cup of chopped green pepper. If you don’t like heat so much, take ½ cup. However, we’ll take the 1 cup full. 

Spicy Brown Mustard (2 Tbsp)

If you already have tasted the Dijon mustard, the spicy brown mustard is more intense in delivering the taste and flavor. So, we prefer taking the spicy brown mustard for today’s recipe. In this case, you’ll need 2 tbsp of brown mustard.

Chicken Broth ( 1 Cup)

Make chicken broth and take 1 cup of it. Adding chicken broth will make the dish more delicious and flavorful. 

Minced Garlic (2 Tsp)

If you want a distinctive flavor, add 2 tsp of minced garlic. It will add richness and depth to your dish. 

Worcestershire Sauce (2 Tbsp)

To get a nice savory flavor, take 2 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce. It is just a flavor-influencing agent for this dish. 

White Vinegar (1 Cup)

Vinegar helps tenderize other ingredients, white vinegar comes in handy. It delivers an additional zing of flavor. So, take 1 cup of white vinegar. 

Italian Seasoning (1 Tsp)

And the last ingredient to the pulled pork, you’ll be required to take 1 tsp of Italian seasoning. 

Ingredients for Mac & Cheese

To make the MAC & Cheese, you’ll require the following ingredients-

Uncooked Macaroni (4 Cups)

Since it’s a pasta-based recipe, macaroni is another key ingredient for it. 4 cups of uncooked macaroni will be required for this recipe. 

Butter (4 Tbsp)

Take 4 tbsp of butter to make the roux. Roux is the base to make Mac and cheese filling. Butter gives a creamy flavor.

All-Purpose Flour ( Cup)

While making the roux, you must add flour. It can be of any kind. But the all-purpose flour makes the roux more flavorful. Take ½ cup of all-purpose flour. 

Skim Milk- 2.5 Cups

Adding skim milk to the rux will give it a creamy texture. You can use water instead. But the milk will make the dish more delicious. 

Cheddar Cheese & Parmesan Cheese (2.5 Cups & ½ Cup Respectively)

You’ll also need 2.5 cups of cheddar cheese and ½ cup of parmesan cheese. Take 2. To make the filling sticky, this cheese will be handy. 

Mustard (2 Tsp)

For added flavor and taste, take 2 tbsp of mustard paste.

Frank’s Red Hot and black Pepper (1 Tsp Each)

And the last two spices are Frank’s red hot and black pepper. Both of them are flavor-influencing agents. Take 1 tsp of each spice. 

How to Make Dinosaur BBQ MAC and Cheese?

We have mentioned above that you need two different steps to cook this recipe. And you’ll have to cook the pork shoulder butt roast in the first phase. Later you’ll make teh Mac & Cheese. So, let’s begin-

Pork Shoulder Butt Roast

The easiest part of this recipe is to make the pulled pork. It requires simple ingredients mixing and cooking. Here’s how- 

Step-1

Take the pork shoulder butt roast and place it into a large-size slow cooker. And prepare other ingredients. So, take a large bowl and take onion, BBQ sauce, green pepper, chicken broth, white vinegar,  Worcestershire Sauce, Italian seasoning, mustard, water ½ liter, and minced garlic. Now mix all the ingredients properly and add them to the pork shoulder butt roast. 

Step-2

Cover the slow cooker and put in the stove to cook for 10 to 12 hours at low heat. If you don’t want to spend this long time, go for high heat. It will finish making the sauce within 6 hours. Ensure you stir the ingredients and pork shoulder frequently. It will save from burning. 

Step-3

Once the pork shoulder butt roast is cooked well, transfer it to the cutting board. Let it cold for 10 minutes. 

Step-3

Now tear off the bone from it using a knife and then shred the flesh using forks. 

Step-4

Now add the shredded flash to the slow cooker and it will look like the image given below.

Baked Mac & Cheese 

This time, you have to make the MAC & Cheese. So, check out the process-

Step-1

In the very first phase, you must make teh roux. Because roux is the base of baked MAC & Cheese. It’s a thickening agent that will thicken up the dish. So, put a pan on the stove and give the butter to melt. Once the butter is melted, add all-purpose flour. Stir to mix well for 2 minutes. 

Step-2

Once the butter and flour are mixed well, add milk to the mixture and continue stirring. Bring the mixture to a boil and keep simmering until becomes thick. It will look like a thick white sauce. 

Step-3

Once the flour mixture is thick enough, add parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese. Continue stirring at medium-low heat and let the cheese mix well.

Step-4

Once the mixture is blended properly, add your macaroni to the mixture. And stir gently to mix them. This time it’s ready to bake. So, Transfer the macaroni mixture to a baking pan. Ensure your baking pan is 9ʺ by 5ʺ measurement. Your baking pan is ready to bake. Now bake the pan for 45 minutes at 375° F.

You’ll make the layers as instructed below-

First Layer: Put the macaroni mixture on the pan and then put ¼ cup of sharp cheddar. After that, spread 3 Ritz crackers

Second Layer: ¼ cup of sharp cheddar and then crumble 3 Ritz crackers 

Third Layer: ½ cup parmesan cheese and then 4 crumbled Ritz crackers

When your baked MAC & Cheese is ready, go for the next step. And in this step you’ll have to prepare the wrap. You’ll have to take the ingredients to make wraps as instructed below-

For Each Wrap-

Wheat Wrap/ Tortillas (20)

Take either wheat wrap or tortillas preferring your choice. Both are alright. We’ll take the wheat wrap and take 10 pieces. Because our serving size is 10 where 2 wraps we serve for each serving. 

Pulled Pork (4 Oz)

Take pulled pork of 4 oz. You can increase or decrease the amount as per the size of your wraps. We’ll take 4 Oz for Each wrap. 

Mac & Cheese (1 Cup)

Take 1 cup of Mac and Cheese to prepare each wrap. Make sure you have made a balanced mixture while preparing your wraps. 

Dinosaur BBQ Muther Sauce (2 Tbsp)

And the final element to make the Mac & Cheese wrap, you should take the Dinosaur BBQ muther sauce. Take 2 tbsp of this ingredient.

So take a wrap and put pulled pork in it first. Then add Mac & Cheese and Dinosaur sauce.  And this is how you’ll wrap it-

  • 4 Cups Uncooked Macaroni

Instructions

For Pork Shoulder Butt Roast

  • Take the pork shoulder butt roast and place it into a large-size slow cooker
  • Mix all the ingredients properly and add them to the pork shoulder butt roast
  • Cover the slow cooker and cook for 10 to 12 hours at low heat
  • Let it cold for 10 minutes
  • Now tear off the bone from it using a knife and then shred the flesh using forks 
  • Add the shredded flash to the slow cooker 

For Baked Mac & Cheese 

  • Put a pan on the stove and give the butter to melt. Once the butter is melted, add all-purpose flour. Stir to mix well for 2 minutes 
  • Add milk to the mixture and continue stirring for 10 minutes 
  • Once the flour mixture is thick enough, add parmesan cheese and cheddar cheese. Continue stirring for 5 minutes at medium-low heat
  • Add your macaroni to the mixture. And stir  gently for 5 minutes to mix them
  • Transfer the macaroni mixture to a baking pan
  • Bake the mixture for 45 minutes at 375° F.
  • When your baked MAC & Cheese is ready, prepare the wraps
  • Your dish is ready to serve

  • Adding tomato sauce to the pulled pork will make your dish more delicious.
