Carrabba’s Ingredients for Grilled Chicken Marsala

For Chicken Spice

Chicken breast: For this Carrabba’s marsala chicken recipe, the breast pieces of chicken are ideal. They have a mild flavor and have low fat. You will need 4 pieces of chicken breast.

Marjoram: Marjoram has a similar flavor to oregano and mint. They possess aroma and sweetness higher than oregano. Add 1/4 tsp of marjoram.

Extra virgin olive oil: Olive oil is the healthiest fat with numerous benefits. Add 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil.

Garlic powder: Garlic provides an earthy vibe. 1/4 tsp of garlic powder will do.

Black pepper: Add 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper for spice and color.

Dried oregano: Since Carrabba’s chicken marsala recipe has marjoram, you will need a very little amount of dried oregano. 1/2 tsp will suffice.

Dried thyme: Can an Italian dish become an Italian dish without thyme? This adds a very mild flavor to the dish. 1/2 tsp of dried thyme will be enough.

Dried parsley: This slightly bitter herb balances the savory flavor of the dish and brightens the texture. You will need 1/2 tsp of dried parsley.

Salt: You will need 1 ¼ tsp of salt.

For Marsala Sauce

Dry marsala wine: This special wine is made with some local grape varieties and popular addition to savory recipes. It adds a nutty flavor to the dish. You will need 1/4 cup of dry marsala wine.

Prosciutto:  It is an Italian term for uncooked, thinly sliced, unsmoked ham. For this Carrabba’s chicken marsala recipe, you will need 1 slice of prosciutto, thoroughly diced.

Mushroom: Instead of canned products, use fresh mushrooms. 8 ounces of fresh mushroom should be added.

Shallots: It can be easily mistaken as a red onion for the outer looks, but those are a very different variety. You need 2 tsp of shallots, minced properly.

Garlic: the garlic should be minced properly. 2 tsp of garlic will suffice.

Parsley: Instead of dried parsley, use green, organic parsley for a fresh kick. 1 tsp of minced parsley will be enough.

Chicken stock: You can use the store-bought kinds or prepare them at home. 1 cup of chicken stock will suffice.

Cornstarch: The recipe will require 2 tsp of cornstarch.

Heavy cream: This will help to tone down the spice and give the dish a good consistency. 2 tbsp of heavy cream will work.

Butter: Add 1/3 cup of butter to the list for grilled chicken marsala.
