Clam juice – since it is a seafood soup, clam juice will add an extra flavor of the sea. 8 ounces of clam juice will do.
Soy sauce – 1 tsp of soy sauce will add some Asian-fusion flavor.
Water – 2 quarts of water. You may need to adjust the measurement according to the thickness level.
Salt and pepper – 1 tsp or according to taste.

Step 1: boil 2 quarts of water in a soup pot on high flame.
Step 2: When the water is bubbling, lower the heat to medium-high and add chicken or vegetable base.
Step 3: Now, drop the chopped celery, potatoes, ginger, garlic, and onions.

- 2 cups Potatoes nicely diced
- 2 tbsp Powdered chicken base
- 1 cup Celery chopped
- 2 tbsp Ginger minced ginger
- 2 tbsp Garlic
- 1/2 cup Onion
- 3 ounces Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Cilantro
- 8 ounces Clam juice
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 quarts Water
- 1 tbsp Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Boil 2 quarts of water in a soup pot on high flame
- Add chicken or vegetable base. Drop the chopped celery, potatoes, ginger, garlic, and onions
- Add the cooked rock shrimps into the concoction and boil
- Add the clam juice and soy sauce
- Spread half of the minced cilantro on the pot
- Add the cornstarch with a little cold water and stir continuously
- Add salt and pepper
- Garnish the soup with remaining cilantro
