Mastro’s Creamed Corn Ingredients

With a few of the most common and inexpensive ingredients, you can easily make your dish. It will require no hard-to-find element. Check out the list of ingredients-

Frozen Corn Kernels ( 4 Cups)

To make this recipe today, 4 cups of corn kernels will be required. You can purchase the store-bought can. Make sure, you use the frozen corn kernels. And it’s the key ingredient for today’s dish.

Butter (2 ½ Tbsp)

Combining this recipe with butter will make the flavor and taste go a long way. Since it’s a creamy recipe, you don’t need to apply oil of any kind. Rather use butter to give it a quick creamy texture. So, 2 ½ tbsp of butter will be perfect. However, you can substitute the butter with bacon grease. But, we prefer butter the most to get a fresh flavor.

Yellow Onion (3 Tbsp)

If you want to make your recipe more nutritious, add yellow onion. It will add fiber and vitamin C to your dish. To increase the taste and flavor, yellow onion will be the perfect combination. Take 3 tbsp of diced yellow onion. If you like the flavor of onion, take 1 cup of this ingredient.

Flour (2 Tbsp)

Your corn recipe should be thickened enough to look creamy. So, you’ll need 2 tbsp of flour to add to your recipe. Take flour of any kind from rice flour, plain flour, or all-purpose flour. We’ll take rice flour as it works the best to thicken the recipe.

Whole Milk (½ Cup)

Milk is a must-have ingredient to make this creamed corn recipe. So, you’ll need ½ cup of whole milk. If you have no milk available, substitute it with half and half. The amount will be the same.

Sugar (1 Tsp)

Since the corn isn’t as sweet as we expect, adding 1 tsp of sugar will make it sweet and tasty. But, you shouldn’t add excessive amounts of sugar to your dish.

Salt (½ Tsp)

Adding salt will help you get the natural taste of your recipe. So, you can add ½ tsp of salt. It will increase the taste of your dish as well.

Cream Cheese (1 Cup)

To make your dish exclusively extraordinary and delicious, add 1 cup of cream cheese to the recipe.  It will make it more delicious than the original one. But, it’s optional. If you don’t like cream cheese, skip it.

Cracked Paper (½ Tsp)

Cracked pepper is consisted of black pepper berries. It will offer a rich burst of flavor in each of your bites. So, take ½ tsp of cracked pepper. Don’t add more, or your dish will be distasteful.

NB: The ingredients that we’ve taken are almost the same as the original recipe. Here we’ve taken the whole milk and kept half and half as a substitution. In the main recipe, half and half were taken as the main ingredient. So, you can swap your choice.
