PF Chang's Pepper Steak Recipe || Expert’s Guide for Beginners
PF Chang's pepper steak recipe comes with bell pepper and flank steaks. It has an easy cooking method. It will allow you to bring a variety to your regular menu.
Dissolve 1 tsp of baking powder with ½ cup of water
Mix the dissolved baking powder with beef steaks and allow them to soak for 15 minutes
Drain off the soaked beef steaks and mix soya sauce, sesame oil, Shaoxing wine, and black pepper powder
Allow 30 minutes to marinade
Take ½ cup of cornstarch and dredge each of the marinated beef steak. Keep aside the steaks
Make a mixture with soya sauce, dark soya sauce, black vinegar, Chinese dough banjo, chili crisp oil, and oyster sauce. Keep aside
Make the cornstarch slurry
This time, fry the steaks in peanut oil on your pan at medium-low heat
Once the steaks are fried, transfer them to a bowl and keep aside
Now in the same pan, saute the sauce mixture with half a cup of water for 2 minutes. Once it looks spicy, transfer to a bowl
Put the pan on the stove and put peanut oil in it
Saute the garlic and finger for 2 minutes. After that, saute the chopped red and green bell pepper for another 2 minutes. This time, add chopped onion and cook all the elements together for 5 minutes
When the bell pepper and onion are sauteed well, add the fried beef steaks, sauteed sauce mixture, and the cornstarch slurry
Sprinkle 1 tsp of black pepper over the mixture and your dish is ready to eat
Serve it with cooked rice
Tips
For this recipe, flank steak is the top suggested ingredients. Yet, you can use round steak or sirloin
Pasta or grain types dishes are well matched as side dishes with pepper steak
