Instructions
Stir flour with melted butter in your skillet at low heat for 2 minutes. Ensure the mixture looks golden
Add onion, chicken broth, half and half, salt, and pepper. Stir to thicken the mixture for 10 minutes at medium-high heat
When the mixture looks thickened, add cream cheese and continue mixing
Remove the pan from the stove and keep aside
Put another skillet on your stove and put butter in the remaining 2 tbsp of butter
Saute spinach with salt, and ½ tsp of pepper powder for 5 minutes at medium-low heat
Now add the sauteed spinach with your cream mixture and mix well
Your dish is ready to enjoy
Tips
If you want to get more flavor, add nutmeg to the cream mixture. It will make your dish extraordinary.
To add more brightness and a light tangy flavor, add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to your dish.
Salt your spinach accurately.
You can add spoons of creamed spinach to make other dishes. For example, if you add 2 tsp of creamed spinach to make an omelet, it will taste good.
Ensure your spinach isn’t blended all in all.
Adding some different steamed vegetables will give it a more tasteful. You can choose steamed broccoli or carrots.
