Instructions
Put a pan on the stove and put the apple pieces into it
Now mix all the ingredients and keep stirring to mix well
Cover the pan or crockpot and cook for 8 hours long at low heat. Stir frequently
Blend the apples in your blender
Cook the blended apple for 2 hours more. Cooke them uncovered
Once the mixture becomes thicker, remove it from the stove and let it cool for 10 minutes
Now pour the apple butter into an air-tight jar and store in your fridge
Tips
It’s common if your apple butter gets excessively sweet. In this case, adding a few tsp of lemon juice will remove the sweetness.
Adding coconut sugar will help thicken your apple butter.
You can store your homemade apple butter for more than 3 months. In this case, you’ll have to store them in the refrigerator.
If your apple butter becomes layered in its liquid or grainy, you must not eat the butter anymore. Because it’s already spoiled.
