Instructions
Rinse the Ahi tuna dry before cutting it into 1/2-inch cubes.
Place in a mixing bowl.
Combine green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, macadamia nuts, seaweed, ginger, pepper flakes, and salt.
Mix in the tuna to coat evenly.
Refrigerate for 2 hours after wrapping the bowl with plastic wrap.
Remove the poke from the refrigerator and give it a good stir.
Top with green onions and sesame seeds.
Then drizzle with lemon juice.
Tips
Don't put vinegar or juice from citrus fruits in the marinate. You will get a different feeling than we want here.
You can use a variety of fish, different veggies, or even Hawaiian fruit. You could also use shrimp or another type of fish.
Let the fish marinate in these flavors for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
